Topeka Capital-Journal, Topeka, Kansas, Saturday, March 9, 1985, Page 30 Orville Leon Uitts Iola-Orville Leon Uitts, 41, Iola, was found dead Thursday, March 7, in a bathtub at his home after he suffered an apparent heart attack. Mr. Uitts worked for Gates Rubber Co., at Iola, the past 10 years and previously worked at the Iola Billard Hall several years. He was born April 13, 1943, at Iola, the son of William and Lena Madison Uitts and lived in Iola all his life. Mr. Uitts was a member of the Allen County Sheri's Reserve and Grace Baptist Church at Iola. He was married Feb. 15, 1969, to Helen Kemmer at Iola. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Steven Uitts of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Uitts, Topeka; six sisters. Mrs. Lela Coplan, McComb, Ill., Mrs. Lucille Herman, Beaver, Okla., Mrs. Pauline Cole, Carlisle, Mrs. Maxine Jones, Ottawa, Mrs. Dodi Dowell, Topeka, and Mrs. Patricia Hill, Iola; and a brother, Charles Uitts, La Harpe. Services will be at 11:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Baptist Church here. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery at Iola. Waugh-Yokum & Fiskel Memorial Chapels of Iola is in charge of arrangements.
