About Odena Annas
Odena Brown Annas Granite Falls, N.C.- Mrs. Odena Brown Annas, 71, of Russell Drive, Granite Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at her residence. She was born June 27, 1936, in Burke County to the late Brantley Brown and Elsie Miller Brown. She was a member of Dry Ponds Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ella Mae Myers, Imelda McDade and an infant. She is survived by her loving husband, Maynard Annas of the home; her son and daughter-in-law, Ron Triplett and Linda of Granite Falls; two daughters, Libby Bates of Granite Falls and Kathy Shook of Hudson; her granddaughter, Hallee Triplett of Granite Falls; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Wilburn (Bud) Brown and Jerry Brown and Marlene, all of Granite Falls; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Sue Bumgarner and Gene of Hickory. Mrs. Annas is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Annas will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Dry Ponds Baptist Church, with Dr. Rick Crouse and the Rev. Edd Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Dry Ponds Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Ron Triplett, Larry Williams, Chris Williams, Gary Devenny, Terry Brown, T.J. Bates and Dustin Devenny. Memorials may be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood St., NW, Lenoir, N.C. 28645. Mackie-High Funeral Home is serving the Annas family.
