About Odell Weems
Odell Weems, 83, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home with Gene Daniel, Steven Turnbow and Pete Turnbow officiating. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Internment will be in Kidd Cemetery. The Lawrence County native was the son of the late Harvey and Alma Foust Weems. He was a mechanic. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. He was a member of the Forty Eight Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Muriel Sisson Weems of Lawrenceburg; son, Larry Weems of Lawrenceburg; daughter, Nelta Stafford of Lawrenceburg; sister, Laura Mae Fowler of Trussville, Ala.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
