About Odean Arnold
Odean Arnold age 95 passed away December 1, 2018 at Maple Ridge Manor in Dyersburg, TN. He was born September 23, 1923 in Chester County, the son of the late William Lee and Birdie Marie Chandler Arnold. He married Clara Rowland on April 4, 1944. They were married sixty-six years. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Nurse’s Assistant at the Kennedy VA Hospital in Memphis, retiring after thirty-one years. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering. He was a member of Elliston Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. Mr. Arnold is survived by a daughter, Janet King (Butch) of Troy. TN and a son, David Arnold (Cheryl) of Ethelsville, AL; three grandchildren, Robin Finch (Larry), Andy King (Donna) and Angel Brown and a great grandchild, Daniel L. Finch III and a sister, Reva Dean Whitman of Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Clara Rowland Arnold February 24, 2011 and a brother, Monroe Arnold. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Anthony Rowland and Skippy Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
