About Oakel Hardy
TEC 4 US ARMY WORLD WAR II The son of Thomas and Lenora Lee Hardy. He married Doreen Hines in 1945 in Liverpool, England. Mr. Hardy retired from Golden Casting where he worked for 26 years and was former owner of Hardy's Coin Shop. He moved to Florida in 1984. He was the first Bartholomew County resident to enlist in the Army to serve in World War II. He was a member of Columbus Veterans of Foreign Wars and Episcopal Church of the New Covenant in Orlando.
