About Norma Green
Norma Jean Green, 86, of Oskaloosa and formerly of McLouth, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Rest Well Home Plus in Oskaloosa after battling the effects of dementia. She was born on June 3, 1936 at Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Frederick Homer and Pearl Adeline (Rambeau) Rickman. Norma grew up in rural Jefferson County, attending schools in McLouth, KS. She retired in June of 1998 after serving 35 years as a film clerk in the Radiology Department at Providence-St. Margaret's Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. She enjoyed time with family, embroidering, crocheting, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and loving her pets. She married James Lloyd "Jim" Green on May 8, 1955 at the Stanwood Friends Church in rural McLouth and they were blessed with the birth of their son. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, "Jim", son, "Wayne", two sisters, Florence Hollingsworth, and Patricia Rutz. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Friday, March 10, 2023 with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Norma will be laid to rest with her husband, "Jim" at Leavenworth V.A. National Cemetery, Leavenworth.
