About Noel Buttner
Mrs. Noel Marie Buttner, 86, of Albany died Monday July 11, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 9:30AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Andersonville National Cemetery. Rev. Ray Levreault will officiate. A Wake service will be held Monday 6:30PM with visitation to follow at Kimbrell-Stern. Born in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of William E. Steidle and Claire Mayell Steidle. Mrs. Buttner was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Home Health Care. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church where she was in the Ladies Auxiliary with the Knights of Columbus. Mrs. Buttner volunteered with St. Claire's Soup Kitchen and was a Girl Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Glenn Steidle and Bill Steidle; her two grandchildren David Clark and Claire Kaster. Survivors include her husband of 65 years George Buttner (Ret. USMC) of Albany; her children Debra Clark of Monroe, GA; Bill Buttner and his wife Tanya of Hawaii; Colleen Butler of Poulan, GA; grandchildren Scott Clark, Jennifer Clark, Noel Clark, Patrick Clark, Greg Buttner, Ryan Buttner, Corbin Buttner, Amanda Buttner, Christopher Grimsley and Matthew Grimsley. 18 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Rita Steidle.
