About Nettie Glorioso
Nettie Glorioso, age 95, passed away on October 22, 2022, at Mount Saint Francis Nursing Center, Colorado Springs, CO She was born on December 29, 1926, in Valdez, CO to parents Rosalie and Salvatore Garbo. She attended Primero High School, graduating in 1944. On June 25, 1950, Nettie was united in marriage to Steve Glorioso at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Trinidad, CO Nettie was a humble, compassionate and genuine woman that dedicated her life to being a selfless wife, mother, and Nana. She gave the ultimate gift of life to her children. She unconditionally loved them as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family. She made a warmhearted lasting impression on each person she met. Anyone she befriended was a friend for life and grateful for their friendship. As an amazing cook all were invited to her table. She seemed to have an endless pot of chicken soup. She was passionate about sewing. Nettie sewed robes for each of liturgical seasons for the Infant of Prague statue at Our Lady Mount Carmel Church. Every loving stitch was a prayer. Nettie was unwavering and devoted to her Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Glorioso, 2000, Daughter, Rosalie Ellie, 2021, her parents, brothers, and sisters. She was the last living member of her family.
