About Nelle Pace
Services for Nelle Irvan Pace, 98, of Benton, were held on Sunday, May 3 at Zion's Cause Baptist Church. Bro. Charles Frazier officiated, followed by burial in Pace Cemetery. Ms. Pace died at 5:25 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, in Benton. She was a teacher at Hardin and Benton Elementary Schools for 31 years before retirement and a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, John Pace of Benton; daughter-in-law, Margaret Pace of Clarksville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Sarah McGowan of Benton, Elizabeth Owen of Ledbetter, Mark Pace and Tammy Pomeroy, both of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Pace; one son, Charles Pace; sisters, Eloise Irvin, Lucille Weatherly, Virginia Dixon and Lois Jones; brothers, Eugene Irvan, O.B. Irvan and Carl Irvan. Her parents were Dr. Oscar Brown Irvan and Ora Irvan. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion's Cause Baptist Church building fund, 1532 U.S. Highway 68 W, Benton, KY 42025.
