About Nell Wood
Nell Louise Wood July 18, 1937 - January 11, 2022 Louise was born in Solemville, AZ on July 18,1937 to Delbert and Pricilla Layton. raised on family ranches she went to school in Camp Verde, AZ. In 1957she married Stanley Wakefield and together they had 5 children. They later divorced. In 1989 she moved to the family ranch in Elburz outside of Elko, NV. She married Francis Woods 1992. In 2006 they sold that ranch and moved to Clifton, AZ where they developed the Woods Ranch where she remained until her death on January 11, 2022. Nell was preceded in death by her sister Gayle in 1968 and her daughter Elizabeth Hancock in 2010. Services will be held on January 22, 2022 at the LDS church in Clifton, AZ at 10:00 AM then will be laid for her final resting place next to Francis in the Thatcher cemetery.
