About Nancy Dellar
Born and raised in Alcona County, Michigan where she lived for many years before moving to Battle Creek, Michigan. She later moved to Killeen, Texas in 2012 and was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018 where she received cancer treatment for several years. She was a smoker for 50 years and had quit about 10 years prior. Many, if not all, of her siblings were also smokers and most died of or had cancer too. On December 24th, mom wasn't feeling well and had started wheezing with her oxygen on so we went to the hospital, the Dr's found her cancer had progressed and had weakened her heart and lungs dramatically causing her heart to function between 20%-24%. She was admitted for further monitoring and with a broken heart I have to tell you we lost mom this morning at 4:31a.m. The Dr said her heart rate had slowed down and just stopped, she went peacefully in her sleep.
