Yale - Nan McCammon Shaw, 92, homemaker, died May 23 in Oklahoma City. Graveside memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Lawson Cemetery. Palmer Marler, Cushing. (Tulsa World) ----------------- Nan McCammon Shaw, age 92 of Oklahoma City formerly of Stroud, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Epworth Villa, Oklahoma City, Ok. Graveside services will be held on 11:00 a.m. , Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Lawson Cemetery , Yale, Ok. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Ok. Nan was born on April 1, 1920 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Clara E. (Castleberry) and Newton J. McCammon. Nan graduated from Stroud High School in 1939; attended Oklahoma A&M (Oklahoma State University) from 1939 thru 1941. She married George W. Shaw Jr. on December 18, 1941 in Stroud, Oklahoma. Nan was a member of Chi Omega Sorority at Oklahoma A&M, Eastern Star, P.E.O., and the First Christian Church. She enjoyed bridge, bowling and was an avid sports fan playing basketball, and tennis during her school years. Nan is survived by her son George W. (Bill) Shaw III and spouse Okema of Stafford, Kansas; daughter Nanette Skidgel and spouse John of Edmond Oklahoma; grandsons Shawn Skidgel of Piedmont, Okla; Shane Skidgel and fianc'e April Pendelton of Tulsa, Okla; George W. Shaw IV and spouse Kristy of Frisco, Texas and Ray Ted Shaw and spouse Daniella of Chula Vista, Calif; Great granddaughters: Hannah Skidgel of Tonkawa, Okla; Abby, Emmy and Maggie Shaw of Frisco, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband George, parents, brothers Ben and HB McCammon, grandson Reese McCammon Shaw Memorials may be made to Quality Life Hospice in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, P.O.
