About Naida Tims
Naida Stephens Tims August 8, 1932 - July 27, 2019 Naida Stephens Tims, 86, of Alpine, Utah, formerly of San Jose, California, died peacefully in her sleep at home in Alpine, July 27, 2019. Naida was born August 8, 1932 in Victor, Idaho, she is predeceased by her parents, Arnold Ellsworth Stephens and Theda Coyle Cummings; brother Kyle Stephens, and sister Lynn Stephens. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many callings which include Relief Society President, Gospel Doctrine teacher and a temple ordinance worker. Naida was known for her contagious laughter, wonderful sense of humor, and exceptional artistic talents. She enjoyed sharing animated stories of her life with friends, and family. She was a wonderful homemaker, and gracious hostess to all that came into her home. She is survived her husband of 68 years, Kenneth Wayne Tims, and four children. Daughter Kathryn Bybee; son Randall Tims; daughter Kristina Batie, and son David Tims and his wife Tammy. Her posterity includes 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and many others she embraced as her own. Funeral services will be held at the LDS chapel, 901 East Village Way, Alpine Utah, Friday August 2, 2019. Viewing will be 9:30–10:45 am, with services beginning at 11 am. Internment will be immediately following at the Alpine Cemetery.
