Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth (Seamon) Abbey Age: 85 yrs. 5 mos. 23 dys. D/O Joseph M. (Abbey) Mosholder M/O Carol (Abbey) Rankin Obituary, Pittsburgh (PA) Post-Gazette , 4-5 Aug 2014: ABBEY, MILDRED E., Age 85 - It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our loving mother, Mildred Elizabeth Abbey, who passed away Aug. 3, 2014. Because she had such a huge and loving heart, she fought very hard to battle heart disease. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at Providence Point Rehab. Mildred was formerly of Robinson Twp. and was residing in Collier Twp. She was born in Fredericksburg, PA, to the late Violet Murphy and Joseph Seamon. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Abbey, in Sept. of 2004; and a son, Joseph Abbey, Jr., in 1967. Surviving are her children, Richard (Janet) Abbey, Susan (Robert "Beatle") Mosholder, and Carol (Kevin) Rankin; two brothers, Oliver (June) Seamon and Larry Donald Seamon; six granddaughters, Lori (Dennis) Watters, Nicole (Bill) Hannan, Missy (Greg) Andrews, Carrie Helms, Rachel (Eric) Scheib, and Julie Rankin; seven great-grandchildren, Katie and Dianna Hannan, Lindsey Walters, Kandy, Hanna and David Helms, and Abbey Andrews; also many loving nieces and nephews survive. Mildred was also predeceased by a sister, Freda Sines; three brothers, Charles, Carl and Edward Seamon. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Copeland Moon Twp. Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Rd., where a Service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Uniondale Cemetery. Mom, you will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.
