Michael R Iafolla

Michael R. Iafolla, 75, of North Hampton, died suddenly Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Exeter Hospital. He was born in Dedham, Mass., April 3, 1933, a son of the late John and Sarah (Nolfi) Iafolla of Italy. He was raised in Dedham, attending local schools there and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict in Japan. He had resided in North Hampton since 1974 coming from Portsmouth. Mr. Iafolla worked with the family business and served as vice president for the John Iafolla Company of Portsmouth, starting as a young man. A man who enjoyed his work he continued even recently having construction plans on his desk. He shared 35 years of marriage with his wife, Marjorie C. (Williamson) Iafolla of North Hampton. In addition to his wife, family members include three sons, Richard J. Moore and wife, Alison, of Newmarket, Douglas D. Moore and wife, Lorrie, of North Hampton, Christopher Moore and wife, Sandi, of Pocatello, Idaho; three brothers, John Bavicchi of Brookline, Mass., Ferris Bavicchi of Rye, Robert Iafolla of Portsmouth; his sister, Palma Morang of Bristol, R.I.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be no visiting hours. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, in the United Church of Christ, 295 Atlantic Ave., North Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Private interment will be in the Center Cemetery, North Hampton.
