While teaching at Valparaiso University he attended the University of Chicago and received a Ph.D. in Psychology in June 12, 1970. Was chief of Psychologist at Porter Starke Services (Mental Health Hospital and Out Patient facility) for 22 years. He served on the Staff of Porter Memorial Hospital. Had Private Practices in Valparaiso and Munster, Indiana. He was Chief of Psychologist at Porter Starke until his death March 5, 1998. He lived in Tokyo, Japan, Cincinnati, Ohio, Lincoln, IL., Clinton, IL., Summum, IL., Merrillville, IN. Valparaiso, IN. He was an avid reader and had a large library of books. He loved classical music and enjoyed going to Concerts & Piano recitals. He was very supportive of his wife in her career of teach Early Childhood Developmental programs and also piano & singing.
