About Mary Naeger
A funeral will be held Thursday, May 30th, 2002 for 85-year-old LaVerne E. Naeger of Perryville who died Monday, May 27th at the Perry County Nursing Home. She was born October 20th, 1916 in Perryville, the daughter of Vincent Mattingly and Rosella Gibbar Mattingly, who both preceded her in death. She married Oscar F. Naeger on August 24th, 1938. He preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters: Rita Seyer of Dexter, Mary Margaret Peterson of Perryville and Rose Ann Kaiser of Harvest, Alabama. Three sons survive: Leonard W. Naeger of McBride, Glenn O. Naeger of Perryville and Tom V. Naeger of Rackerby, California. She is also survived by two sisters: Lucille Griffard of Perryville and Verlene Mattingly of Cape Girardeau. Three brothers survive: Elvin Mattingly and Cullen Mattingly, both of St. Mary and Bertrand Mattingly of Brewer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, a sister, four brothers and two grandsons. She was a housewife and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Visitation will be 4-9 P.M. Wednesday, May 29th and 6:30-9:50 A.M. Thursday, May 30th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. There will be a parish wake at 7 P.M. Wednesday and rosary at 9 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral mass for 85-year-old LaVerne E. Naeger of Perryville will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, May 30th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery in Bremen, Illinois. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M., will officiate.
