About Mary Ieronimo
WATERTOWN — Mary (Marino) Ieronimo, 92, formerly of Hamilton Lane, died Wednesday at Aaron Manor in Chester. She was the widow of Louis Ieronimo, her husband of 34 years. Mrs. Ieronimo was born in Waterbury Feb. 17, 1917, daughter of the late Leonardo and Mary (Sigliano) Marino. She was raised in Waterbury and had lived in Watertown for more than 45 years. After her husband passed away, she went to work in the food service department at Taft School and worked there for more than 10 years. She was a communicant at St. John the Evangelist Church. She was active in the Ladies Guild and had taught CCD. She leaves two sons, Daniel J. Ieronimo of Woodbury, and Richard L. Ieronimo of Watertown; a daughter, Dianne Wetmore of Chester; a brother, Ernest Marino of Southbury; a sister, Arlene Penta of Watertown; and two grandchildren, Courtney and Lucas Ieronimo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association, CT Chapter, 279 New Britain Ave., Kensington, CT 06037.
