Mary L Grubofski

Services for Mrs. Otto (Mary) Grubofski, 74 of 5897 Highway 13 North, Pittsville, who was found dead at home Monday will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville. Her death was attributed to a heart attack, according to Wood County Coroner James Breitenstein. The Rev. E.T. Keller will officiate and burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. Vocalist and organist will be Mrs. Betty and Mary Sherwood. Visitations will begin after 6 p.m. today and until services on Wednesday at the funeral home. The former Mary Kreitlow was born October 22, 1908 in Watertown, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Lena) Kreitlow. She came to Pittsville as a child and received her education in Good Cheer School, Town of Wood. She and Otto Grubofski were married June 17, 1927 in Pittsville. He died in 1971. They were engaged in farming in the Town of Wood. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville. Surviving are eight sons, Clarence of Colorado Springs, Colo., Wallace, Fred and John, all of Pittsville, Karl of Rockford, Ill., Richard of Marshfield, and Otto and Larry, both of Wisconsin Rapids: four daughters, Mrs. Donald (Lorraine) Sladek Sr. of Granton, Mrs. Richard (Bertha) Drackley and Mrs. Leo (Ida) Flewellen, both of Marshfield and Mrs. Dexter (Laura) Brue of Loyal; 27 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Mundt and Mrs. Mike (Bertha) Vedeward, both of Pittsville and Mrs. Robert (Amelia) Hines of Babcock. She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers. Pallbearers will be Carl and Henry Phillippi, Richard Schiller, Ernest Jensen, Robert Grimm and Albert Triplat.
