About Martha Yach
Martha Gladys Yach, age 100, formerly of Hatley, now of Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston went home to Jesus on Tuesday, February 20, 2001. She was born on July 29, 1900 in the town of Ringle the daughter of the late Walter and Victoria (Easker) Woznicki. On May 20, 1924 Martha was united in marriage to Bernard A. Yach at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1967. Martha was the cleaning lady at the Bank of Birnamwood, Hatley Office for 18 years retiring in 1976 at the age of 76. She was also an active member of St. Florian Catholic Church and its Rosary Society and held a chairperson position for many years. Martha also worked in the St. Florian's Catholic School jot lunch program for 16 years. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Gladys Yach, Manitowoc; two daughters, Alice (Ralph) Gates, Waukesha and Janice (Richard) Decker, South Milford, IN; three sons, Leander (Lorraine) Yach, Wausau, Myron (Jeanne) Yach, Milwaukee and Ronald (Mary) Yach, West Plaines, MO; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two sisters, Veronica Gorski, Mosinee and Clara Bornberg, Hatley; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by two daughters, Delia Ace and Bonita Yach; a stepson, Irving Yach, a grandson, Daniel Gates and six brothers, John, Joseph, Frank, Charles, Edward and Henry Woznicki. The Funeral Mass was held February 24, 2001 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. The Rev. Thomas Abraham officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
