About Martha Jaccino
Martha A. Jaccino, age 94, formerly of Continental Village, NY, died on Friday, February 5, 1999 in Fishkill, NY. She was born in Hamburg, Germany on April 14, 1904 to Wilhelm and Agusta Bade. Mrs. Jaccino was a dressmaker and an area resident since 1950, coming from the Bronx, NY, a member of and past President of the Philipstown Seniors and held the post for seventeen years. She was one of the founding members of the Philipstown Senior Citizens which began in 1969, and she was instrumental in the Chestnut Ridge Senior Citizens Apts. in Cold Spring, NY. and the allocation of space for the Seniors to meet being built, the meeting room for the Seniors was named in her honor as "Room". She was predeceased by her husband, John V. Jaccino, who died in March 1990. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Lubbers of Putnam Valley,. NY and Hermine Lubbers of Jefferson Valley, NY, seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, six sisters, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 1999 at the Clinton Funeral Home in Peekskill, 10 am. and a cremation will follow. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Published in the Journal News, Sunday, February 7, 1999
