About Marjorie Cook
Marjorie Imogene Cook, 99, of Chandlerville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg, Illinois. She was born July 16, 1924, in Rural Chandlerville, the daughter of Guy and Alice Atterberry Chilton. She married William "Bill" Cook on October 14, 1945, in Chandlerville. Marjorie was a member of the Chandlerville Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, square dancing, traveling and spending winters in Florida. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Georgia (husband Dean) Eilers of Chandlerville and Marjean (husband David) Session of Chandlerville; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Herschel Chilton. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 10 am to 10:30 am at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville. A graveside service will immediately follow at Chandlerville Cemetery in Chandlerville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
