Marian M. Perry

Marian M. Perry, 101, Richland Center formally of Madison passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024 at Harvest Guest Home, Richland Center, WI. She was born on September 13, 1922, in the Township of Forest, Richland County, daughter of Brainard and Ethel (Jones) Kanable. She married Frank A. Perry July 17, 1956 at The Little Brown Church in the Vail, Nashua, IA. She graduated Viola Public High School in 1940, began working at the Dentist office in Viola as a dental assistant. She later attended Beauty Culture School in La Crosse, and after graduation she worked in Richland Center and Monroe. She was an avid reader, a voracious walker, and a devoted gardener. Her favorite part of the day was enjoying the newspaper with a piping hot cup of coffee. She treasured her time spent with family. Marian is survived by nieces Bonnie (Jim) Thoftne, Soldiers Grove, Lorene Kanable (Kevin Tuckwood), Richland Center; three great nephews Matthew Thoftne, Mark Thoftne, Cashton, John (Anna) Thoftne, Cambridge; nieces Joanne (John) Sumwalt, Richland Center, Marsha (John) Koch, Otsego, and nephew Rod (Helen) Perry of Richland Center. Marian was preceded in death by husband Frank, Parents, brother Dyle Kanable, sister-in-law Jessie Kanable, brother-in-law Lester Perry, sister-in-law Phyllis Perry, niece Carolyn (Ardith) Sutherland, mother/father-in-law Madge and Harrell Perry. Per Marian's request no formal services will be held. Memorials may be made to Harvest Guest Home, St. Croix Hospice or charity of your choice. A special thank you to the caregivers at Harvest Guest Home and St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
