About Maria Faber
Maria M. Faber, 89, of Paynesville died on Saturday, March 5, at her home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 12, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Maria Faber was born on Oct. 16, 1921, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Schaefer) Doll in St. Martin. She married Herman H. Faber on Aug. 11, 1942, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin. They farmed in the St. Martin area until 1967, when they moved to Paynesville. Their union lasted until Herman's death in 2004. Maria is survived by her children, Larry (Carol) Faber of Rice, Kathleen Faber of Paynesville, Janet (David) Brinkman of Paynesville, Mary (Gerry) Mehr of Paynesville, Pat (Joe) Nistler of Richmond, and Alan (Mary) Faber of Sartell; a daughter-in-law; 18 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; brother, Virgil Doll of Cold Spring; and sisters, Walburga Lieser of Paynesville and Rita Feldewerd of Melrose. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; sons, Joseph, Arnold, and Michael; a grandson; brothers, Henry, Urban, Sylvester, Hilary, Martin, Anthony, and Joseph Doll; and sisters, Marcella Laumeyer, Genevieve Loehr, and Mary Ann Fuchs. Memorials are preferred.
