About Margaret Zahringer
Margaret E Zahringer, “Muggs”, (nee Serwe), age 81, died Monday, September 16, 2002 at Appleton Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born July 12, 1921 in Theresa WI, daughter of the late Baltus and Helen (Moser) Serwe. On Nov. 6, 1944 Muggs married Clarence Zahringer in Theresa WI. In 1954 the couple moved to Sherwood. Muggs enjoyed having a good time. She loved playing cards with relatives and friends and going on vacation trips. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood where she was on the Altar Society, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband Clarence, Sherwood; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark Zahringer, Sherwood; Ron (Shelby) Zahringer, rural Stockbridge; three grandchildren: Bill, David and Melissa Zahringer; a sister and three brothers-in-law, Patricia “Patsy” (Leo) Stoffel, West Bend; Frank Fischer and Jim Wallek, both of Mayville; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood with Fr. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
