About Mareen Ogle
Mareen (Toni) Zimmerman Ogle was born on May 30, 1942, to Leonard (Tod) Zimmerman and Catherine (Kay) Crume. She spent her childhood in Gratis, Ohio, and graduated from the old Gratis High School in 1960. Toni worked as a secretary for football coach John Pont at Miami University. She later worked for Congressman Buzz Lukins in Washington, DC. Becoming homesick, she returned to Ohio, and worked at the Kettering Foundation in Dayton, Ohio. It was there that she met her future husband, Kenneth Ogle. They were married on April 29, 1972, at Houston Woods in College Corner, Ohio. Ken and Toni later moved to Waco, Texas, and then to Houston, Texas, where Toni worked for Dr. Michael DeBakey at the Texas Medical Center. On May 28, 1976, Toni gave birth to a daughter, Amy K. Ogle. After Ken retired in 1996, they moved back to the old family home in Gratis, and enjoyed an active retirement. Ken passed away in 2017, after 45 years of marriage. Toni remained in Gratis and was active in local affairs. After a time, she started a relationship with Gary Overton, a widower and close family friend. They married on October 3, 2018 in Yellow Rock, Ohio, and moved to Eaton, Ohio. Toni developed a brain cancer, and after a valiant fight, succumbed to it on September 16, 2020, at the age of 78.
