About M. Quandt
M. Virginia "Ginny" Quandt, 91, Altamont, Illinois died 7 March 2013 at St Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effimngham, Illinois. She was born 13 January 1922, Altamont, Illinois to Louis R. and Frances Kuhns Roedell. She married Henry E. Quandt on 7 June 1941. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a homemaker and assisted on the family farm. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Effingham County Home Extension and Illinois Farmers Union. She is survived by sons, Larry (Peg) Quandt, Altasmont, Illinois; Henry L. Quandt, Mason, Illinois; daughters, Gloria (Lyle) Buzzard, St. Elmo, Illinois; Sandy (Jon) Otterson, Madiosn, Wisconsin; brother, Louis R. (Ruth) Roedell, Mount Horeb, Wisconsin; sisters, Colleen Maslowski, Zion, Illinois; Elaine DeLuca, Sebring, Florida; Pat Benton, Double Springs,Alabama; 10 grandchildren, Tina (Dave) Riggle, Lynn (Brian) Woodard, Sean Mackin, Ryan (Michelle) Mackin, J.R. (Tara) Quandt, Jennifer (Kevin) Wendling, Dean (Sandy) Buzzard; Mindy (Shane) Healy; Elizabeth (Tony) Evans; Suzanne (Chad) Head; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Karen Macklin, brother, Lawrence Roedell, sister, Yvonne Fuesting, and granddaughter, Annette Otterson. Funeral services were at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, Illinois with Rev. Clayton Vail officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
