WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL Thursday, December 10, 1970 Louis Ubert Rites NEW GLARUS - Louis C. Ubert, 60, died Wednesday in a Monroe hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Monroe and operated a New Glarus service station until two years ago. Since that time he was employed at Advance Transformer, Monroe. He was a member of the Swiss United Church of Christ, the New Glarus Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, and the New Glarus Fire Dept. He was a World War II veteran. He married Viola Werndli Oct. 9, 1940, at Dubuque, lowa. She survives him. Surviving in the Madison area is a sister, Mrs. Harold Beck, Sun Prairie. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Zentner Funeral Home, New Glarus, where masonic rites will be held at 8 p.m.
