About Louis Pachnick
Louis F. Pachnick, age 92, previously of Fairfield, beloved husband of Tekla Rafalowicz Pachnick, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 21, 2009. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Mr. Pachnick had lived most of his life in Monroe and Fairfield before moving to Ansonia five years ago. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army seeing combat duty in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. Mr. Pachnick later worked for the Sprague Meter Co. from which he retired. Louis had been a member of the VFW, he enjoyed bowling and golfing. Louis will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. In addition to his devoted wife Tekla, survivors include his son, Kenneth Pachnick and his wife, Patricia of Texas; grandchildren, Christine and Michael; a sister, Marie Bunkoczi of Fairfield; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Lawrence and brother, John. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY at Holy Family Church, Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield, burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center.
