Loraine Evelyn Johnson

Loraine J. Johnson, age 93, of Richlands, Virginia passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. Born November 22, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Whitten B. and Martha Clifton Joyce. Loraine was a graduate of Richlands High School and Clinch Valley Clinic School of Nursing. She worked for Dr. Joe Adair as a dental assistant and office manager. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Mullins Keene; son-in-law, David Keene; 10 siblings; great-granddaughter, Lily Noel Minix and husband, Joe Johnson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family in her generation. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Gina Wysock and husband Glenn Wysock; granddaughters, Samantha Taylor and husband Michael, Katie Saffran and husband Michael, Sara Minx and husband Mike; Grandson, Adam Keene and wife Natasha; great-children, Layla Natalie Keene, Hunter Aden Keene, Ellie Joy Saffran, and Charlotte Marielle Taylor. The family will receive friends at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Richlands, Virginia after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon with Dr. Marc Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at the Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be men of Gethsemane Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church at 2902 Clinch St, Richlands, VA 24641.
