About Linda Farris
Linda Lee Norton Farris, age 73, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Thursday, (October 27, 2022) at Norton Downtown in Louisville, KY. She was born on July 25, 1949 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late William "Bill" Franklin Norton Sr. and Alma Cockrill Norton Miller. Linda was saved at the Caneyville Missionary Baptist Church in 1963 and attended the Shrewsbury Missionary Baptist Church. After marrying the love of her life, Raymond Farris, in 1964, she worked as a teacher's aide at Caneyville High School, where she also drove a school bus. She served as a Deputy PVA & a Human Resource Officer for Grayson County. When she wasn't working, Linda enjoyed working with flowers, cooking, playing Bingo, and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Farris Cook (Jeff) of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Brandon Cook (Wendy), Jessica Farris Meredith (Jacob), and Jacob Farris; and three great-grandchildren, Kamryn & Brayden Cook and Maci Meredith. One brother, Richard Miller, of Leitchfield also survives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Raymond Farris; her son, Travis Gordon Farris; and a brother, William Franklin "Frankie" Norris Jr; and her parents. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, (November 5, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Curtis Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rabbit Flat Cemetery.
