Obituary: Linda Joyce Beatty Apr 11, 1951 - Feb 23, 2023 Beloved mother, daughter, sister and grandmother Linda Joyce Beatty died from cancer on Feb. 23, 2023. She took her last breath, at the age of 71 years old, in Anchorage, Alaska. Linda was born on April 11, 1951, in Topeka, Kan., living there through high school. She attended and graduated from Holton High School. To this day she remained close to several friends from this time in her life. Linda enjoyed working at Chester Park Senior Living. Working there was like a second home. Usually, she was found working late, engaging with the residents and setting up after hours bingo and movie nights. She will be terribly missed. When not at work, Linda enjoyed collecting her favorite items: jewelry, DVDs, figurines and other glass-like objects. She also adored watching her DVD movies late into the night. Linda's affiliation with The Church of Latter-day Saints gave her peace of mind and, as her days came to close, she held onto her beliefs, helping her transition home to be with her parents in the celestial. Linda is survived by her brother, Raymond Beatty; and six children, Angel Stanley, Elizabeth Adkins, Marlena Henrie, Scott Henrie, Aaron Henrie and Charity Young. She is also survived by nine grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy MacArthur Burgett; and father, Alvin Leroy Beatty. Linda will be laid to rest at the Holton Cemetery in Holton, Kan. Her ashes will be laid to rest between her mother and father to be nestled for eternity forever safe, secure and embraced in their love.
