About Lillie Copeland Cross
Once told me that she was born at Murray Cross, Alabama which is in Cherokee County. It doesn't show up on any maps I have seen so I guess it was just a community. May have been named for a person named Murray Cross. Strange that after the death of her first husband she married a Cross. Other than her children and grand children her biggest love in life was her flowers. She had some of the most beautiful flowers. Thought I would add a little note today September 22, 2007. I went hunting a cemetery where mother's sister is buried and did find the little settlement of Murray Cross. It is on highway 411 between Gadsden, Alabama and Centre, Alabama.
