About Lillian Arney
Lillian Lucille Arney (Lucille, Granny), 95, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2024 in Big Spring, Texas. She was born August 2,1928 in Denison, Texas to Elberta Tally Hedgecock and Cecil B Hedgecock. She married the late Jack Arney on February 1, 1955, and shared 43 happy years with him. Her joys in life included tending to her flowers & yard. For all who knew her well, she will be remembered for her love of Owls & Alan Jackson. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Elberta & Cecil Tally, her husband (Jack Arney), her children (James Perdue, Doyle Perdue, Gary Perdue, Genice Arney Hall), her sister (Ethel Oneda Simms), brothers (Richard & JD Hedgecock), grandson (Brian Self), great granddaughter (Kimberly Peacock). She is survived by her neices (Nancy Simms Finley, Sandra Simms Haeringer, Debbie Simms Lamar, Donna Simms Stevenson), nephews (Ken & Rick Hedgecock). She is also survived by her grandchildren (Cheryl Self Gray, Jeremy Peacock, April Crowder, Ann Perdue, Thurman Freeman, Jack & Amy Perdue, Gary Perdue, Teea Perdue); great grandchildren (Ashleigh Self, Gary & wife Sydney Perdue, Chad Boyd, Austin & Bridgette Perdue, Joshua Self, Bradley & Megan Boyd, Ty Perdue, Ethan Perdue, Alexander & Destiny Perdue, Jedidiah Self, Eric & Melody Perdue); great-great grandchildren (Autumn, Reice, Aiden, Wyatt, RaeLynn Perdue, Amara Self). Funeral Services will be held 2pm Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison. Private burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas. A visitation will be held 5-7pm Friday, February 2, 2024 at the funeral home.
