Dear brother of Joseph Abelon of Lynn, & Martin Abelon of Fl. Loving grandfather of three. Graveside services held at Pride of Lynn Cemetery 89 Lakeshore Rd., Lynn. Dear brother of Joseph Abelon of Lynn, & Martin Abelon of Fl. Loving grandfather of three. Leon was the son of the late Philip and Betty (Ashman) Abelon. He was born in Brunswick, ME. Raised and educated in Lynn, MA a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. Leon continued his studies graduating from Northeastern University with a BS in Chemistry and a MBA. He was president of the Ballroom Dance Club and Farm Club in his community in NJ. Known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor, he had a knack for making his family and friends laugh. Graveside services held at Pride of Lynn Cemetery 89 Lakeshore Rd., Lynn. The family will sit Shiva following services. Published in The Boston Globe on Dec. 23, 2017
