Lawrence A. Pellerin

Lawrence A. Pellerin Sr., of Ore Bed Road, Saranac passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 27, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on December 21, 1950 to Lawrence (Lor) Joseph and Genevieve Helena (Newell) Pellerin. Big L was a lifetime resident of Saranac. He served in the US Navy. Larry worked for DOCCS as an officer at Clinton Correctional Facility until he retired in September of 1994. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed playing slow pitch softball at the American Legion Post 1619. Larry valued family time especially camping at Chazy Lake with family and close friends. Larry was quiet in nature, but was the mastermind of pranking and cracking jokes. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Eva (Hayes) Pellerin; children, Lawrence Pellerin Jr. and wife Renee, Heather Brault and husband Robert, and daughter-in-law Lisa Pellerin; granddaughters, Carissa, Shawna, Kylee, Laura, and Layla; brothers, Robert Pellerin and his wife Deborah and Richard Pellerin and his wife Deborah; sisters, Kathryn Pellerin, Tina Pellerin, and Nancy Roberts and husband Kyle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and son, Eric Pellerin, May 8, 2015. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, March 4, 2023 from Noon to 3 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A brief prayer service will follow in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Military Honors and NYSDOC State Flag presentations will be accorded.
