Lan Huynh Ba Lan Huynh Ba AGE: 95 • Newark Lan Huynh Ba, age 95, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2015 Lan was born in Da Nang, Vietnam on January 15th, 1920. He was a successful entrepreneur with great will and determination. He instilled hard work and strong leadership in all his children. His honorable and courageous life has given meaning to his ten children who have found rewarding careers and developed a strong family bond. In 1993, he brought his family to U.S. and settled in Newark Delaware, where two of his sons already resided. Lan enjoyed travelling. He visited all continents and many world wonders. He spoke Vietnamese and French fluently. Lan loved to read, especially the news and history. He enjoyed Vietnamese and French cuisine. Aside from many hobbies, his greatest love was spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. Lan was preceded in death by his wife, Tran Thi Ngoc Chau, and his oldest son, Chi Huynh Ba. Lan is survived by his children, Trinh Huynh, Tuong Huynh-Ba, Ton Huynh, Gia Huynh-Ba, Hao Huynh Ba, Hoa Huynh, Thuan Huynh, Thai Huynh-Ba, An Huynh Ba and all their families. He has 17 grandchildren, Paul Huynh Ba, Loc Huynh Ba, Ngoc Huynh, Ngan Huynh, Hoang Huynh Ba, Bach Huynh-Ba, Nguyen Huynh-Ba, Trung Dang, Gia Eric Huynh-Ba, Michelle Huynh-Ba, Tina Huynh, Kathy Huynh, Daniel Nguyen, Sydney Nguyen, John Huynh-Ba, James Huynh-Ba and Vinh Huynh. He also has 3 great grandchildren, Nathan Huynh-Ba, Norah Huynh-Ba and Gia Luca Huynh-Ba. Our sincere thanks to Christiana Hospital and Genesis HealthCare at Brackenville Center for their assistance. Viewing will start on Wednesday, April 8 at 9:30 am to 12 noon at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends are invited to pay their respects. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon and burial will take place after the service at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
