About L Joiner
L. J. Joiner, age 68 of Douglasville, passed away, April 9, 2010. He was born November 4, 1941 to the late Harry and Mattie Lou Sheffield Joiner. He was a retired maintenance engineer of the Douglas County School System and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Hiram. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Olivia Mary Jane Scarborough Joiner; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Todd McMichen of Douglasville, son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Paula Joiner of Wrightsville; brothers-in-law: Paul Register of Dexter, GA, Dennis Register of Rentz, GA; nephew, Richard Joiner of Macon; niece, Faye Sheffield of Eastman, GA; grandchildren: Christopher McMichen, Caymon McMichen, Casey Joiner and Brittany Joiner. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 3:00 PM from Hightower's Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the West Georgia Memorial Park, Hwy 61, Carrollton. The family will receive friends, Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. You may share your thoughts and memories in the online guestbook at www.hightowersmemorial.com.
