About L. Hanner
Margaret Hanner, 83 of Bushnell, died on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003 at United Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyo. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 11 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball. The Rev. Roger Gillming will officiate. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Visitation was to be at the funeral home on Wed. until 6 p.m. and on Thurs. from 10 a.m. until noon. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bushnell Volunteer Fire Department. She was born March 24, 1920 in Kimball, a daughter of Peter and Mary (White) Bourlier, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was raised on a farm south of Bushnell where she attended the District 22 School. She then attended and graduated from Kimball County High School. She married Donald G. Hanner on February 2, 1946 in Troy, Kan. Margaret was a nurse's aid at the Kimball County Hospital for many years. She also cooked for the hospital. She and her husband also ran D and M's Place in Bushnell. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Bushnell, the Crossroads Garden Club and the Yucca Belles. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Margaret Palmer of Holdrege, Neb.; a son, Donald Lee Hanner of Bushnell; a brother Vernon Bourlier and wife Toni of Kimball; sister-in-law Jo Bourlier of Kimball; eight grandchildren, Vonda and Terry McCracken, Wade Palmer, Tonya Palmer, Roxanne and Jim Johnson, Jason and Deana Hanner, Suzanne Miller, Jamey and Jeff Vance, and April Hanner; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald G. on April 16, 1987, a brother Arthur Lee Bourlier, and a great granddaughter Dakota Dawn Hanner.
