About L Evans
Mr. Lynn Roger Evans, age 63, of 1507 Washington Highway, Elberton, widower of the late Carolyn Evans, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born on December 25, 1946 in Elbert County, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Rudell Evans. He was retired as a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, L. C. Evans. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Marie Evans of Elberton; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Becky Evans of Elberton; sister, Janet Conlee of Iva, SC; brother Arthur Evans of Calhoun Falls, SC; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Several other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11AM at the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. Reverend Rev. Leon Suttles will officiate and burial will follow in Fortsonia Cemetery. The family is at the home, 1507 Washington Highway, and will receive friends from 6-8PM Friday evening at Hicks Funeral Home. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Lynn Roger Evans. Preceded in Death By Carolyn Evans, Spouse Woodrow Evans, Father Allie Rudell Yeargin Evans, Mother L.C. Evans, Brother
