Kyle Ray Quackenbush

Kyle Quackenbush, 26, of Linton, North Dakota, formerly of Dickinson, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 3, 2012, at Belfield, North Dakota. Kyle Ray Quackenbush was born March 22, 1986 to Robert and Marilyn (Oyloe) Quackenbush in Dickinson, North Dakota. Kyle graduated from Dickinson High School in 2004. He was baptized, loved his Lord and was currently an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Bismarck. Kyle enjoyed sports and had a great deal of athletic ability. He could give you all of the statistics of a game he had watched. He enjoyed playing on an adult softball league. Fishing and hunting were also passions of Kyle. He enjoyed spending time hunting with his Dad, uncles and friends. Kyle was an avid reader enjoying biographies and history of World War II. Kyle was such an enthusiast he would try to get family and friends to read the same book he had just finished. He collected bibles and recently enjoyed collecting ducks (quack). Music was also a love Kyle had. He enjoyed a variety of music especially contemporary Christian music. Kyle was known for his knack for dressing with style and a flair for neatness. His father always wanted Kyle to wear Wrangler jeans, but Kyle chose more trendy options. His neatness carried to his closet and chest of drawers where shoes, shirts, socks and other garments were arranged with precision. Kyle was employed at Gross Farms in Napoleon. To his and family members surprise he had a love for the land and took pride in his work, one acre at a time. Through the trials of life, Kyle looked to the Lord for guidance and love. Kyle is survived by his father, Robert (Shelly) Quackenbush of Plains, MT; grandparents, Robert and Ilene Quackenbush, Rock Lake, ND; aunts, Pam (Jeff) Berg, Devils Lake, ND, Susan (Pat) Flannagan, Mayville, ND and Jeannie (Tim) Weiner, Rock Lake, ND; uncles, Marty (Javayne) Oyloe, Williston, ND and Bob (Robyn) Oyloe, Gladstone, ND, step-siblings, step-sister, Lindsey (Aaron) Volesky, Williston, ND, step-brother, Tyson (Natalie) Bolinske, Albuquerque, NM and girlfriend, Laci Weiss and her mother Gerri. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn (Oyloe) Quackenbush; maternal grandparents, Marlyn Oyloe and Jean Oyloe; cousin, Luke Oyloe and his four-legged girlfriend, Punk. Interment will follow in Round Prairie Cemetery, west of Williston.
