Garrow-Guthrie 1959-2011 MULLINS, S.C. — Kimberly Ann Garrow-Guthrie, 51, of Mullins, S.C., formerly of Sheridan, died Monday, Jan. 17, at her daughter's home in rural Serena. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, with the Rev. Hyo-Sun Oh officiating at Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home in Sheridan. Interment will be at Elerding Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Kimberly was born June 10, 1959, in Sandwich, to James and Marlene (Kessler) Garrow. She married Marty Guthrie on March 3, 2002, in Norway, Ill. Before marriage, she worked for the La Salle County Criminal Justice Center, the downtown La Salle County Courthouse and had been secretary for several judges including Judge Carter and Judge Ryan. Along with her husband, she operated M&K Ventures, real estate sales, in Mullins, S.C. She was a member of Sheridan United Methodist Church and served on the board of the Jennings-Lyons Day Care Center. She is survived by her husband, Marty Guthrie of Mullins; her daughter, Darcy (Nathan) Hermann of Serena; her son, Justin (Heather) Angel of Marion, Iowa; her stepdaughter, Allison (Robbie) Christy of Clarksburg, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Reaghen West, Brandon Hermann, Wesley Hermann, Kelsey Hermann, Kendra Hermann and Teagan Christy; and her father, James Garrow of Sheridan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marlene Garrow, and a brother, Bradley Garrow. The family want to express special thanks to the Hospice nurses and staff, Dr. Maguire, Norma and Carri and the Marion County, S.C., Hospice. Pallbearers will be Danny Bernard, Barry Bernard, Jason Hermann, John Pender, Jordan Edgcomb and Robbie Christy. Memorials may be directed to Sheridan United Methodist Church.
