About Katie Hampton
Katie M. Hampton, 81, of Chassahowitzka, was taken home to be with our heavenly Father on March 10, 2022. She may be gone, but never forgotten. She was born June 28, 1940, in Rappahannock,Virginia, to Therman & Fannie Fincham. She was a huge plant lover, anything green, she loved to grow, with her favorites being roses, lilies and violets. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Hampton and son, Daniel Duvall. She was also the last of her siblings. She is survived by loving children, two daughters, Michelle Hampton and partner Lavontae King; Donna Lindsay, and a son, David Duvall and his wife Connie; 12 beautiful grand-children; 11 great-grand-children and very many friends that will greatly miss her. Katie was a loving, happy, family mom/grandma. She loved anything to do with family, from dinners and cookouts, to dance recitals and concerts. Several people referred to her as the cat lady, because anytime she was sick and, in the hospital, she'd get better and be good as new in no time. She was a fighter until the end and will be forever loved and greatly missed.
