About Katherine Van Vleet
KATHERINE A. VAN VLEET -- FORMERLY OF LAKE STATION, IN -- Katherine A. Van Vleet, age 94, of Muskego, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at home in Wisconsin. Katherine was a former longtime Lake Station resident. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. Katherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Katherine is survived by eight children: Donald (Pat) Van Vleet of Arkansas, Norma Schimmel of Muskego, WI, Twyla Leeper of South Haven, James (Donna) Van Vleet of Michigan City, IN, John Van Vleet of Knox, IN, Charles Van Vleet of Monticello, IN, Betty Haas of Michigan, and William Van Vleet of Merrillville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Van Vleet; son, Thomas; and daughter, Beverly Howard. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
