About June Laakson
June E. Laakson, 80, Green Bay, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born April 11, 1922, to the late John and Elsa (Ehlert) Straman in Chicago, Ill. June was employed by Belson Company for many years, retiring in 1987. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Pete DeBeukelar, Green Bay; two granddaughters, Marchael Thomas, Green Bay; and Marrin (Brian) Riordan, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Montana and Kiara Thomas; one sister, Verna Bornzin, California; and one sister-in-law, Daisy Straman, California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Straman and one brother-in-law, George Bornzin. Friends may call after 12 noon. Thursday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church where funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Malme officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
