About Julius LaBenne
Jules LaBenne married Verna Byrona Ketterman on March 2, 1941 in Springfield MO. Their marriage was a happy one. They had no children. It was a second marriage for Jules. His first wife, Blanche gave him three daughters. The LaBennes settled in Lamar, MO, where they owned and operated a number of business including a grocery stor, a TV repair shop, and a laundromat. Jules also served as a police judge. Jules was well liked by the Kettermans. Jules LaBenne died in Lamar, MO on September 7, 1976. Verna buried him in the Ketterman plot Pittsburg's Highland Park Cemetery. Information gleaned from "The Fifteen Children of John W. Ketterman" by Romney J. Ketterman and Barbara Ketterman Pendleton.
