About Joyce Zablocki
Joyce J. Zablocki, born Joyce J. Allen, of Clawson, died peacefully December 7, 2014, at Angela Hospice in Livonia. She was 87 years old. Joyce was born December 25, 1926, in Highland Park, to Eleanor (Mertz) Allen and Charles Allen. Joyce pursued her passion for beauty and graduated from Del Mar Beauty School May 2, 1946. She worked as a hair dresser in salons, owned a salon, and finally worked out of her basement until retiring in 1988. Joyce Allen married Ted Zablocki on March 26, 1949 at the Clawson Methodist Church. Together they celebrated with family and friends at the VFW Hall in Hazel Park after the wedding. Joyce was survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Ted Zablocki, daughter, Rhonda (Larry) Niedowicz and son, Teddy (Pam) Zablocki. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Niedowicz, Scott Niedowicz, April (Scott) Miller, Christine Zablocki and Trever Zablocki and great-grandchildren, Dillon and Landon Niedowicz.
