About Joseph Ierardi
Joseph J. Ierardi, of Avon, died Monday July 14, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was 66. Mr. Ierardi was the loving husband of the late Patricia E. (Ginnetty) Ierardi. Born in Boston on Oct. 2, 1947, Mr. Ierardi was the son of the late James and Margaret (Devaney) Ierardi. He was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School and Boston University. Mr. Ierardi worked for many years as an Accounting Manager at the Stop and Shop Corporate Office and Headquarters in Quincy. He enjoyed fishing, walking, reading and spending time with his family. Mr. Ierardi is survived by his sons, James and his wife Regina of Stoughton, John and his wife Jeannine and Joseph and his wife Jennifer of Avon. He was the loving grandfather of Emily, John, Michael, Dominic, Julianna, James, Thomas, Jacob and Patrick. Mr. Ierardi was the brother of Jacqueline and Patricia Ierardi, Margaret Vogel and the late James and Robert Ierardi. His funeral will be from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 South Franklin St. (Rte 37), Holbrook on Friday, July 18, at 9 a.m. Followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michaels Church, 87 North Main St. (Rte 28), Avon at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday 4 - 8 p.m. Interment in St. Michaels Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thoracic Oncology Research Fund at BIDMC, in memory of Patricia E.
