~ ~ JOSEPH ABBIUSO ~ ~ BIRTH: November 11, 1898; Pietramontecorvino, Provincia di Foggia, Puglia, Italy DEATH: December 15, 1993; Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts BURIAL: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts Joseph Abbiuso was born November 11, 1898 in Pietramontecorvino, Provincia di Foggia, Puglia, Italy to Donato Abbiuso and Alberta (Annantuonio) Abbiuso. He was the eldest of eight children born to Donato and Alberta during their marriage together. Joseph came to the US with his parents on the ship Trojan Prince on June 25, 1901. Joseph Abbiuso registered with the US WWI Draft on September 12, 1918 at the age of 19. He was of a medium build, medium height, black hair and brown eyes. Joseph was a Non-Declarant Alien. Joseph was employed with Draper Corporation as a Draughtsman. On the 1930 census, Joseph Abbiuso was single and a machinist with a door shop. By 1940, Joseph was a sticher with a shoe shop. Joseph registered with the US WWII Draft on February 16,1942 in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He wore glasses and was 43 with light brown complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. Joseph was 5 foot 6 inches and weighed 190 pounds. He was employed with Taft & Pierce Mfg Co Woonsocket. On April 12, 1944 at the age of 44, Joseph petitioned for his citizenship in Boston, Massachusetts. At the age of 95, Joseph Abbiuso passed away on December 15, 1993 in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts. His body was laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts.
