Jose Aguirre, 61, of Dumas passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013. Services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Rev. Jesus Rivera officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Jose was born May 16, 1952 to Remigio and Maria Luisa (Catano) Aguirre. He married Sylvia Sanchez on September 15, 1972 in Juarez, Mexico. He had been a resident of Dumas for 41 years and had worked at Swift for 35 years. Jose was known for always helping anyone who needed help. His greatest joy in life was spoiling his grandchildren. He will be remembered as good loving family man who will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Tammy and Magdalena Aguirre. Jose is survived by his wife: Sylvia of the home; one son: Joe Gabriel Aguirre of Dumas; one daughter: Tracy Aguirre of Dumas; one sister: Guadalupe Aguirre of Juarez, Mexico; three brothers: Cayetano Salcido of Juarez, Mexico, Rolando Aguirre of Odessa, TX, Gil Aguirre of El Paso, TX; three granddaughters: Jasmin Olivia Aguirre, Dezarae Nikole Hernandez, and Dezstany Niquole Hernandez all of Dumas. The family suggests memorials be made to Primero Iglesia Bautista , 801 Miller, Dumas, TX 79029.
